Earlier today (Jan 26), Tye Tribbett received a pretty nice birthday gift in the form of two Grammy Awards for Best Gospel Album and Best Gospel Song. The first time Grammy winner was joined by fellow gospel artist, Tasha Cobbs who also enjoyed her very first win in the Best Gospel/Christian Contemporary Performance category. American Idol alum, Mandisa, also won her first Grammy for her album, in the Best Contemporary Christian Album category.
The 56th Annual Grammy winners in the Gospel/Contemporary Christian music categories were announced during the Grammy Pre-Telecast, hosted by Cyndi Lauper.
